Campus journalists from The Harrow, the official publication of Romblon State University Science High School, and The Pusor, the official student publication of the Philippine Science High School – MIMAROPA Region Campus, were trained in photojournalism at the Philippine Science High School – MIMAROPA Region Campus.
This training was part of the Journalism Camp 2024, an event hosted by the Philippine Science High School – MIMAROPA Region Campus.
The workshop was led by Paul Jaysent Fos, Information Center Manager of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Romblon, who was invited as the resource speaker.
Fos shared his expertise in photojournalism, focusing on the basic skills and qualifications required to become a successful photojournalist.
During the session, Fos introduced the students to fundamental concepts such as understanding camera settings, mastering lighting techniques, and framing shots effectively to create visually impactful stories.
He encouraged the students to approach their work with integrity, ensuring that their photographs reflect the truth and respect the dignity of the people and stories they portray.
