Monsoon rains or habagat will continue to persist in the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga and Pangasinan on Monday even as Typhoon “Butchoy” (international name: Nepartak) had left the country, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 5 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said this is due to the southwest monsoon currently affecting the western part of Luzon.
The rest of Ilocos region, central Luzon and Calabarzon will experience occasional rains. Metro Manila and rest of Luzon, on the other hand, will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms, PAGASA added.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow from southwest to south over Luzon. Its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, PAGASA said winds will be light to moderate, blowing from southeast to south with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
