The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently announced the results of the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) conducted nationwide on August 11, 2024. Out of 329,465 total examinees, 47,449 individuals successfully passed, translating to an overall passing rate of approximately 14.41%.
A breakdown of the results shows that 42,812 examinees passed the Professional Level exam, representing 14.43% of the 296,758 examinees in that category. For the Subprofessional Level, 4,637 examinees passed, or 14.18% of the 32,707 total test takers.
Among the regions, the National Capital Region (NCR) recorded the highest passing rate at 18.96%, with 8,242 passers. Regions III and IV followed, with passing rates of 18.73% and 17.56%, respectively.
The CSC has provided a list of passers, accessible through the Examination Results widget on their website. Examinees can also retrieve their individual test results via the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System by October 27, 2024. However, no physical or electronic copies of results will be mailed.
Certificates of Eligibility (CoE) for passers will be available by November 20, 2024, at the respective CSC Regional or Field Offices. Passers must bring valid identification when claiming their certificates, with a list of acceptable IDs provided by the CSC.
For those interested in government service, passing the CSE grants Professional or Subprofessional eligibility. This qualifies individuals for various government roles, with the Professional Eligibility covering higher-level positions, while Subprofessional Eligibility is suited for clerical and technical roles. However, passing the exam is only one requirement for government employment; candidates must still meet specific education, experience, and competency requirements for the positions they seek.
For more details on the results and the claiming process for certificates, the CSC encourages passers to visit their website and check with the respective regional offices for specific instructions.
