The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – MIMAROPA, through its Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) in Romblon province distributed Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to about 96 beneficiaries last week in cooperation with the province’ Local Government Officials and the Registry of Deeds thru DENR’s ‘Handog Titulo Program Para sa Mamamayan’.
According to Maximo C. Landrito, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer in Romblon Province, beneficiaries of the program were 40 DepEd schools, 1 special patent for the Material Recovery Facility of San Agustin town, and 55 private individuals.
He also explained that the DENR’s ‘Handog Titulo Program Para sa Mamamayan’ is a continued joint effort of the National Government awarding land titles to deserving individuals. It also aims to help individuals, and schools in processing their land title faster than usual.
“Land titling takes years, years, years. Matagal po talaga, inaabot po yan ng taon. Pagdating po ng panahon, nagbago na po ang Presidente pero wala parin ‘yung titulo na inaasam-asam mo,” Landrito said during his welcoming remarks.
The event was graced by Congressman Eleandro Madrona, Romblon mayor Gerard Montojo, DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Roger Capa, and Atty. Renie Catajay of Romblon’s Registry of Deeds.
They express their support to the program especially to free titling of lot under Alienable and Disposal Land.
