The Provincial Board of Romblon has approved an ordinance granting amnesty on penalties, surcharges, and interest due from all unpaid real property taxes in the province including Special Education Taxes, idle land taxes, and other special levy taxes. The tax amnesty takes effect today until July 2026.
The initiative aims to provide financial relief to property owners, encouraging them to settle their tax obligations without penalties or surcharges this year.
By implementing this amnesty program, the provincial government seeks to boost local revenue collection while assisting taxpayers who may have encountered difficulties in meeting their tax responsibilities.
Further details on the application process and eligibility criteria for the tax amnesty will be made available through the Provincial Treasurer’s Office and local government units.
