Test questions for licensure examinations are 100 percent safe from leakage, assured by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) MIMAROPA.
During the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas of the Philippine Information Agency, PRC MIMAROPA Regional Director Reynaldo Agcaoili explained that since their office is currently in Quezon City, they opted for remote printing of the test questions.
To prevent hacking of the test questions, the PRC uses a secure connection accessible only to the Commission.
“ Yung printer namin, wireless. ‘Yung PLDT namin, exclusive IVPN (Internet Virtual Private Network). Kami lang yung nakakapenetrate…So exposure ng leak? I’m sure, 100 percent, wala iyon,” Agcaoili said.
(Our printer is wireless and our internet connection uses an exclusive IVPN only we can access. So I am 100 percent sure there will be no exposures or leaks.)
He stressed that the PRC employs strict standards in printing test questions, partnering with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
“Preparation of test questions…andiyan ‘yung NBI, andiyan ‘yung pulis sa labas ng room and then ‘yung staff walang cellphone, walang TV…Until na nakaprint na sila. ‘Pag labas nung test questions, escorted by police going to classroom,” Agcaoili said.
(During the preparations of the test question, the NBI and the police guard the room. The staff do not have cell phones or TVs. After the test questions are printed, they will be escorted by the police to the classrooms.)
The PRC is the licensing and regulatory agency of the national government for the practice of regulated professions.
In pursuit of providing accessible services to the region, Agcaoili reported an ongoing establishment of a New Service Center in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, in partnership with the Mindoro State University. (DSG/PIA MIMAROPA – Occidental Mindoro)
