Dalawang grupo mula sa America ang magsasagawa ng medical, surgical at dental mission sa lalawigan ng Romblon sa darating na February 10-14, 2020 sa pakikipagtulungan ng Provincial Government ng Romblon.
Ito ay ang Philippine Medical Association of Michigan (PMA-Michigan) at Medical Mission of Mercy (MMOM) mula sa Virginia kung saan mag-offer sila ng iba’t ibang klaseng major, at minor surgeries.
Sa Romblon Provincial Hospital, February 10-13, nakatalaga ang PMA-Michigan, kung saan magbibigay sila ng libreng cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal), herniorrhaphy (hernia repair), hysterectomy (uterus removal), lumpectomy (removing lump of breast tissue) and mastectomy (removing one or both breasts, partially or completely).
Minor surgeries rin katulad ng circumcision, cyst excision, incision and drainage (I&D) of abscess, removal of sebaceous cysts, and lipoma excision. Also available are medical and dental consultations. Among medical issues available for consultation are internal medicine, pulmonary, endocrinology, cardiology, neurology, family medicine and pediatrics.
February 10-14 naman ang medical mission sa Romblon District Hospital sa Romblon, Romblon na pangungunahan ng MMOM kung saan mag-offer sila ng major surgeries katulad ng Mastectomy (removing one or both breasts, partially or completely), herniorrhaphy (hernia repair), hydrocoelectomy (removal of a fluid balloon around the testicle), cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal), head and neck mass tumors, and plastic surgery for those with cleft lip and cleft palate (ngongo). Contrary to an earlier report, they will not perform thyroidectomy (removal of the thyroid gland by surgery).
May minor surgeries rin rito katulad ng excision or removal of lumps, cysts and bumps; circumcision; and wound debridement (removal of dead, damaged, or infected tissue). They can also provide services in optometry (for those with eye problems) and dental health (consultation, tooth extraction, and prophylaxis or cleaning of teeth for disease prevention).
Maari ng magpalista ngayon sa pinakamalapit sa inyong health center o district hospital para sa mga nabanggit na serbisyo. Magtatagal ang screening hanggang February 7.
