Cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the archipelago due to the trough of tropical depression (TD) Hanna, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.
In its 4 a.m. forecast, PAGASA said the center of TD Hanna was estimated at 1,095 km east of Infanta, Quezon with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of 70 kph and moving west northwest at 15 kph.
Monsoon rains will prevail over Metro Manila, Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan, Bataan, Zambales, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Western Visayas and the rest of Central Luzon.
PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rain showers.
Moderate to strong winds will blow all over the country while coastal waters along all areas will be moderate to rough.
The minimum temperature for the day is 24°C while the maximum temperature is at 26.6°C, PAGASA said. (Ma. Teresa Montemayor/PNA)
