The Philippine Statistics Authority Mimaropa and Romblon conducted a one-day training for Solemnizing Officers last May 04 at Dream Paradise Mountain Resort, Brgy. Mapula, Romblon, Romblon.
Priests, ministers, and pastors from several of the province’s religious sects as well as Romblon OIC-MCR Roel M. Fajilagutan and Odiongan MCR Engr Jonathan C. Firmalo gathered in the activity.
It was the goal of the training to modify the processes and requirements for the registration of the authority of the Solemnizing Officers (SOs) in accordance with Administrative Order No. 1, Series of 2021 and to give a review of the roles and responsibilities of a Solemnizing Officer in exercising his authority.
Leni Rioflorido, Regional Director of PSA RSSO MIMAROPA, Ella Jean Rose Del Rosario, Statistical Specialist II of PSA RSSO MIMAROPA, Engr. Johnny Solis, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Romblon, Ma. Cristina M. Uy, Registration Officer I of PSA Romblon and Atty. Lorraine Grace Robis-Magura, JD of Public Attorney’s Office-Romblon acted as the activity’s resource speakers.
They covered rules, procedures and laws on marriage and also handled questions during an open forum. (PR)
