The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Mimaropa is working with companies that offer secured online payments options to MSMEs and small businesses.
DTI Mimaropa Regional Director Joel B. Valera and Assistant Regional Director Rodolfo J. Mariposque advocated the use of trustworthy digital payment channels to secure e-Commerce transactions.
Both officials said the departmnent is committed in addressing the needs and concerns of MSMEs in the new digital normal.
In one of the DTI-hosted webinar, E-money issuer Paynamics discussed the digital industry challenges, opportunities, and trends in doing business online in the country, and easy-to-use e-payments & other relevant user-friendly digital-enabling tools at no upfront costs.
Paynamics is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
By using the PayBiz platforms, clients can order and pay online for products by using QR Codes.
The platform, in turn, serves as bridge between clients and a host of legitimate e-wallet service providers.
