Intensified campaign against criminality of this Police Regional Office under the leadership of PCSUPT WILBEN M MAYOR, Regional Director, PRO MIMAROPA through the regionwide “One Time, Big Time” operations against all wanted persons and all illegal activities, taking into priority the conduct of anti-illegal drug operations, service of Warrant of Arrest, Search Warrant and violations of Special Laws which resulted in the arrests of two hundred thirty-three (233) personalities on August 25, 2017 from 12:00 AM to 12:00 MN.
Of the 233 arrested personalities, eighty five (85) were arrested for alledged into illegal fisihing acivity, twenty (20) were arrested during buy-bust operations, three (3) were arrested during the service of Search Warrant in connection to Violation of RA 9165, six (6) were arrested during the service of Search Warrant in connection to Violation of 10591, ninety-seven (97) were arrested during the service of Warrant of Arrest for Wanted Persons, sixteen (16) for Illegal Gambling, five (5) for Illegal Logging, and one (1) for violation of PD 533.
The top three provinces with most number of recorded arrests are Palawan with 129, Marinduque with 35 and Oriental Mindoro with 27.
Accordingly, of the twenty (20) personalities arrested during the buy-bust operations, one (1) PNP member was arrested along with his two companions. He was identified as PO3 Rey Basilo Delos Santos, 39 years old, former PNP personnel of Mindoro Occidental Police Provincial Office and presently assigned at Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). Confiscated from the possession of the suspects were two (2) sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride known as shabu, one (1) plastic containing assorted drug paraphernalia and two (2) pieces five hundred peso bills used as marked money. Appropriate charges are being prepared against all arrested suspects for filing in court while wanted personalities arrested were properly turned-over to the court for disposition of cases.
These notable accomplishments were the result of the joint concerted efforts exerted by the personnel of Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and other Law Enforcement Agencies with the stern supervision of PSSUPT FERDINAD M GARAY, Deputy Regional Director for Operations who regularly supervises the operations as well as the accomplishments of all the Police Provincial Offices and City Police Office in line with the Letter of Instruction 03/11 MANHUNT CHARLIE and Oplan Double Barrel: Reloaded.
