The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) suspended sea travel for small vessels in Romblon on Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15, due to rough sea conditions. This precautionary measure affects motorized passenger boats and fishing vessels with a gross tonnage of 250 or less.
The suspension was implemented following a weather forecast that predicted strong gale-force winds over the southern seaboards of Southern Luzon, including Romblon and Occidental Mindoro.
The PCG advised that the ban will be lifted once weather conditions improve, and sea travel will resume when the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) confirms safer conditions.
