RSU President affirms finality of Latin Honors guidelines

Romblon State University (RSU) President Merian Mani reiterated that there will be no changes in the guidelines implemented by the university in selecting students who will be awarded Latin honors.

“The decision is final, nothing to change,” Mani stated after the meeting of RSU’s Academic Council on Wednesday.

On the afternoon of July 11, some students held a rally in front of the administration building to request the administration to suspend the implementation of the new guidelines.

More than 300 students were not included in the list of recipients for Latin honors due to the new guidelines.

“The graduation in the campuses has already concluded, and we should stick to the approved policy. In fact, on April 18, 2022, the VPAA and Registrar issued a memo about the Latin honors, and it was given a one-year grace period,” Mani further explained.
