Senator Imee R. Marcos led the distribution of financial assistance for the beneficiaries of Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situations (AICS) today, December 3, 2022 in Palawan and Mindoro provinces.
Sen. Marcos together with Palawan 2nd District Representative Jose Ch. Alvarez, Palawan Governor Victorino Dennis M. Socrates and Palawan DSWD-SWAD Team Leader Eric Aborot led the distribution in Barangay Rio Tuba, Bataraza, Palawan this morning.
Right after, Sen. Marcos went to Barangay Ransang of Rizal where 1,000 beneficiaries have been given the same aid with a total amount of P3M and an additional P3M for the additional 1,000 beneficiaries.
In the afternoon, Marcos went to San Jose, Occidental Mindoro where she was welcomed by Governor Eduardo B. Gadiano, Congressman Odie Tariella and PSWDO Head Ms. Sally Lamoca at San Jose Airport.
Aside from the distribution of aid to 682 Indigenous Peoples (IP), farmers and fisherfolks, in Sen. Marcos’ message, she promised to help the local government in finding solutions to alleviate the electricity crisis, as well as the problem of the farmers.
Lastly, the Senator went to Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro to personally give the financial aid to 1,000 beneficiaries of AICS with Governor Humerlito ‘Bonz’ Dolor, Calapan City Mayor Malou Flores-Morillo and Palawan Congressman Jose Ch. Alvarez.
AICS is a program of the agency which gives financial aid for individual belonging to the poor, marginalized, vulnerable, and disadvantaged sector. (GATS/PIA MIMAROPA)
