The local government unit of Odiongan is requiring all employees of courier and delivery services in town to undergo mandatory testing every fourteen days to ensure the safety of their clients.
The said new guideline is part of Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic’s executive order 24 extending the restriction of non-essential movement in the municipality until May 31.
This was after some employees of courier and food delivery services based in Odiongan tested positive for Covid-19.
Companies are also asked to keep a record of all delivery transactions and provide them to the Business Processing and Licensing Office and Rural Health Unit in case needed for contact tracing.
During the implementation of EO 24, indoor dine-in services of food preparation establishments such as restaurants and eateries are still not allowed, its operation is limited only for take-out and delivery.
