The tax amnesty program being offered by the provincial government of Romblon is extended until December of this year following the approval of the new resolution from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Vice Governor Felix Ylagan said during Kapihan sa PIA-Romblon on Wednesday that granting amnesty or condonation to all real property owners who failed to pay their real property taxes is extended.
Delinquent taxpayers can pay their debts without having to pay the surcharges, penalties, and interests according to Ylagan.
Ylagan sighted that the effect of the pandemic may be one of the reasons for the non-payment of the said taxes since last year.
This amnesty program is applicable to all real properties located or found within the jurisdiction of the Province of Romblon.
Real properties under a compromise agreement and with pending cases with the Board of Assessment Appeal or in any regular courts are not covered by the program.
