The NEDA Regional Office (NRO) MIMAROPA conducted a training on project development to 50 participants from the Provincial Government of Romblon and one (1) private sector representative (PSR) of the MIMAROPA Regional Development Council (RDC) on May 15-18, 2018 at Dream Paradise Resort, Barangay Mapula, Romblon, Romblon.
The training aimed to enhance the capacity of the participants on project development and increase the level of project proposal preparation of the provincial government.
Romblon Governor Eduardo C. Firmalo presented his priority concerns and projects to guide the participants in developing their proposals. The Project Development, Investment Programming, and Budget Division (PDIPBD) of NRO MIMAROPA served as resource persons during the training.
Discussed were basic FS preparation such as market, technical, institutional, financial, economic, environmental, social aspects, and logical framework preparation.
At the end of the training, the following proposals were presented by participants: 1) Purchase of Rice Harvesters; 2) Computerization of Personnel and Human Resource Records; 3) Construction of Evacuation Center; 4) Construction of Pathological Pit; 5) Establishment of 10 Sow Level Piggery Project; and 6) Skills Training on Sewing Craft cum Livelihood.
The training was conducted as a technical assistance of NEDA to RDC members such as local government units and in accordance with the agreements during the Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) meeting last September 28, 2017, which was attended by NEDA Undersecretary for Regional Development Adoracion Navarro.
