The Schools Division Office of Romblon was filled with feelings of gratefulness and nostalgia as they pay tribute for all the support given by the former Cong. Eleandro Jesus Madrona to the development of education service in Romblon for the past years.
Reliable, supportive and dependable are the exact words that could describe the former Congressman, Eleandro Jesus Madrona. These recent years, while Cong. Madrona is still in office, the former congressman never fails to extend his help to the Division through supporting education programs and activities.
He is also a strong advocate of quality education that is why he always see to it that education services will reach even the far-flung areas in the province. Cong. Madrona also is a true blue “champion of the poor” for providing opportunities to the poor and marginalized members of the society to be educated through initiating scholarship programs and educational assistance projects.
Amidst all of these achievements, the former congressman remained humble and down-to-earth.
The DepEd Division office is very much thankful and grateful for all the help extended by former congressman.
And last September 16, 2016, the Deped- Division of Romblon paid tribute to a great working leader- Cong. Eleandro Jesus Madrona.
During the program, a short video presentation was played to reminisce all the memories of the former congressman with DepEd- Romblon.
After which, the present Officer-In-Charge of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent, Mr. Roger F. Capa, awarded the Plaque of Recognition to Cong. Eleandro Jesus Madrona for the unwavering support he has given to the Division throughout his term.
The Deped Tribute ceremony was attended by Hon. Emmanuel Madrona, Vice-Governor Jose Riano, SP Members, eight Municipal Mayors, LGU-Romblon Officials and the Barangay Captains of the Municipality of Romblon. The ceremony was held at the Schools Division Office, Conference Hall.
Congressman Eleandro Jesus Madrona is truly a gem not just to the DepEd-Romblon but to the whole province.
He was indeed one of the greatest leaders our province has ever had. And as he venture to the next page of his life, the DepEd- Division of Romblon wishes him a fruitful life ahead.
