The MIMAROPA Region has 2,055,827 qualified voters for the May 12, 2025 national and local elections, according to the Election Records and Statistics Division of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
Of the total registered voters, Palawan has the most voters at 787,755 followed by Oriental Mindoro with 569,601 voters, Occidental Mindoro with 321,699 voters, Romblon with 211,336 voters, and Marinduque with only 165,436 voters.
Among the two cities in MIMAROPA region, Puerto Princesa City, a highly urbanized city in Palawan, has 181,815 registered voters, while Calapan City, which is a component city in Oriental Mindoro, has 96,310 registered voters.
The town of San Jose in Occidental Mindoro registered the most number of voters among the municipalities in MIMAROPA, numbering at 86,769. Meanwhile, Kalayaan town in Palawan registered the fewest voters, reaching only 819.
The voting centers in the MIMAROPA Region reach 1,569. It also has 13,433 established precincts and 2,951 clustered precincts.
On November 5, 2024 Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas, COMELEC MIMAROPA Regional Election Director Gloria Ramos-Petallo said that the region is free from political hotspots.
She added that law enforcement agencies and other government offices are directed to assist the COMELEC for the upcoming election. (OCJ/PIA MIMAROPA-Palawan)
