Romblon State University (RSU) continues to expand its academic and research collaborations by formalizing memoranda of agreement with seven state universities and industry partner Festo, Inc. The partnership aims to enhance joint research, faculty and student exchange programs, and industry-aligned learning initiatives.
The signing ceremony, held at RSU, was attended by representatives from Batangas State University – The National Engineering University, Marinduque State University, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, Laguna State Polytechnic University, Southern Luzon State University, Ifugao State University, and Technological University of the Philippines. The agreements solidify commitments to fostering academic excellence and technological advancements across institutions.
RSU President Dr. Merian Catajay-Mani emphasized the importance of these partnerships in providing students and faculty with broader learning opportunities.
“These collaborations will open new doors for our students and faculty. We are grateful to our partner universities for their commitment to advancing education and research together,” Dr. Catajay-Mani said.
Aside from strengthening academic ties, the involvement of Festo, Inc., a global leader in industrial automation and technical education, is expected to bridge the gap between academia and industry. The collaboration with Festo, Inc. will introduce advanced technical training, equipping students with industry-relevant skills to meet global demands.
