Unilab Foundation has officially provided the municipality of Odiongan with its state-of-the-art DigiHealth Machine, which is capable of performing comprehensive body diagnostics within just seven minutes.
On Monday, Unilab Foundation officials met with representatives from Odiongan’s local government led by Odiongan Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic to discuss the implementation of the DigiHealth Machine program. This initiative is part of a Tripartite Agreement between the Unilab Foundation, the Municipal Government of Odiongan, and the Romblon State University.
According to the Odiongan Public Information Office (PIO), the new technology aims to address the shortage of healthcare workers and bring Universal Healthcare’s goal closer to reality. Odiongan is one of only two locations in the Philippines selected by Unilab Foundation for this technology rollout.
The DigiHealth Machine is expected to be available for public use by next month.
“With Mayor Trina’s leadership and the support of our partners, we aim to improve healthcare services in Odiongan by providing faster, more efficient, and affordable care for our community,” the Odiongan PIO stated in a statement.
Last November, Mayor Trina Fabic formally accepted the DigiHealth Machine from its manufacturers during a turnover ceremony. Demonstrating confidence in the new technology, she tested the machine herself.
