Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) MIMAROPA Regional Vice President Atty. Jerry F. Ibay called on those who are not yet registered to get registered.
“Lahat po tayo ay PhilHealth members, but we need something from our people. While most of our people are registered, there are some who are not. Ibigay niyo po sa amin ‘yung mga hinihingi po namin [na requirements] para ma-register po namin kayo,” Ibay said during the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas in Calapan City on Tuesday, September 10.
Ibay noted the importance of getting registered as a PhilHealth member.
“Once na malaman namin na registered kayo, mata-track po namin ang inyong health conditions, health status. So, makikita po namin kung ano ‘yung mga sakit niyo, ‘yung mga benefits na pwede, at kung naospital na po ba kayo. This will help in the treatment of a patient. Hindi po ‘yung pupunta kayo, then first time magpapa-register. We cannot do that. Maraming hihingin sa inyo,” he explained.
Ibay added that PhilHealth ensures that every Filipino is a member by covering them under the different membership programs categorized according to various sectors of our society such as Formal Economy, Informal Economy, Indigent Members, Sponsored Members, Lifetime Members, or Senior Citizens.
How to become a member?
PhilHealth has made enrollment very convenient with the prospective member only required to fill out the PhilHealth Member Registration Form or PMRF.
Membership application can also be done through the eRegistration module on the PhilHealth website https://www.philhealth.gov.ph/ or search for PhilHealth offices nearby. (AS/PIA MIMAROPA)
