The Presidential Communications Office (PCO), through the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), will launch the first nationwide synchronized weekly forum dubbed “Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas” on Tuesday, May 28.
The event serves as a platform to communicate government programs, services, projects, policies, and priority thrusts of the invited national government agency or department.
For its maiden episode, the featured agency will be the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and all directors of every region are expected to report the highlights of their achievements and the priority projects they are currently working on, among others.
This communication initiative aims to enhance public understanding and engagement on the programs and projects of implementing agencies at the grassroots level.
The activity further aims to amplify the policies, activities, and accomplishments of each featured department, consistent with the mandate of the administration’s Bagong Pilipinas (BP) governance and leadership agenda.
The BP Kapihan strives to fulfill Pres. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive for all departments to promote their activities and operations across all regions, highlighting a government in action.
Other agencies committed to supporting the program as featured guests on the succeeding Tuesdays, including the Department of Transportation, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of Health, the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Agrarian Reform.
The BP campaign is a call for transformational change in the country and is a master plan for genuine development for the people. (FCR/PIA7)
