Romblon State University (RSU) President Merian Catajay-Mani during the university’s 14th anniversary renewed its commitment to achieving RSU’s quest for global recognition as a competitive educational institution
During her speech in front of top university officials, directors, college deans, faculty, and enthusiastic students, President Mani emphasized that RSU’s diverse community could come together to realize the university’s global aspirations.
She also urged the RSU community to join hands in building a strong foundation.
President Mani also made an appeal for peace and unity amidst ongoing global conflicts, with specific reference to the crises in Israel and Ukraine. She urged the RSU community to be ambassadors of unity and advocates for peace, underscoring that their collective efforts could have a transformative impact on the world.
The institution, which had been known as Romblon State College, was granted university status in 2009 following the passage of Republic Act 9721.
Since becoming Romblon State University, the institution has continued to expand its academic offerings and enhance its facilities and even contributed to the development of Romblon province by producing graduates who are well-equipped to contribute to various sectors.
