Police Regional Office Mimaropa inaugurated a modern police station in the town of Cajidiocan in Sibuyan Island, Romblon, on Tuesday, October 10.
Police Brigadier General Joel Doria, the regional director of PRO Mimaropa, led the blessing and turnover ceremony of the newly constructed “B/C” standard Philippine National Police (PNP) building. The three-story police station, funded through the General Appropriations Act 2022 with an allocation of over P6.1 million, represents a pivotal step in the PNP’s facility development program.
The same building will also built in the town of Magdiwang in the coming months.
During the event, Congressman Eleandro Madrona lauded the dedication and integrity of the police officers in the province, emphasizing the importance of their role as symbols of peace and tranquility in the community.
He expressed his satisfaction that there have been no reported incidents of misconduct within the local police force, highlighting their commitment to upholding their sworn duty.
Madrona further emphasized the significance of this development, underscoring the efforts made by the PNP to improve its image and better serve the community.
Additionally, Madrona announced its support for the PNP’s program by providing a set of national police clearance equipment sets to equip all municipal police stations in Romblon.
This initiative will enable the public to obtain police clearance from any police station in the province, streamlining administrative processes and enhancing public service delivery.
