Police Regional Office (PRO) Mimaropa Regional Director Police Brigadier General Joel B. Doria together with Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Mimaropa Officer in Charge Regional Head Dr. Luis T. Cueto recently led the turnover of PNP logistical equipment during his visit to the Camp Efigenio C. Navarro, Suqui, Calapan City on July 17.
The event, which aimed to bolster the firepower and communication capability of different police units and offices in the region, coincided with the distinguished visitor’s program, with Dr. Cueto, as the guest of honor and speaker.
PbGen. Doria, accompanied by OIC Cueto and members of the PRO Command Group, turned over 87 units of 5.56 Basic Assault Rifle Galil, 50 units of enhanced combat helmets and 5 units of mobile radio to the Police Provincial Offices (PPO) in the region.
During his speech, Cueto acknowledged the mission of the police officers in safeguarding the rights and welfare of the citizens, maintaining peace, and upholding the rule of law.
“I know you are here, not just to work, not just to earn money, but because of your mission. What you are doing right now is considered a calling, you devote your time to serve our country, hence, a big salute shall be commended to each one of you.”
Moreover, Cueto a lso affirms the support of the agency in disseminating accurate, timely, and relevant information to the citizens of the region.
“On behalf of the Philippine Information Agency-Mimaropa, our mission to provide you with accurate, timely, and relevant information is always open. Our agency will work hand-in-hand to disseminate the right information to uplift the lives of all Filipinos,” says Cueto.
Through the support of PIA, the continuous development of PRO will strengthen the overall security and well-being of the Filipino community in the region.
The blessing of the PNP logistical equipment, which was funded under the Capability Enhancement Program (CEP) 2022, was officiated by Fr. Loyd Fiedler, Spiritual Director of the SVD St. Raphael Mission House in Calapan City. (GATS/JJGS/PIA Mimaropa)
