Bonoan said that the paving of the 253.7-lineal meter access road leading to Twin Panton Cave and Bamboo Plantation located in Barangay Malubay, Municipality of Gloria now offers smooth travel to tourists coming from different areas in the province and is expected to generate more livelihood opportunities for locals.
DPWH also completed another project in Oriental Mindoro which involves the widening of 118-lineal meter portion of Calapan North Road from two (2) to four (4) lanes and the construction of a slope protection structure.
Located in the rice-producing municipality of Baco, the project is expected to boost agricultural production through safer and faster delivery of goods and services to the market.
Implemented by DPWH District Engineering Offices of Southern Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro, the projects with a total amount of ₱8.7-million were sourced from the 2023 General Appropriations Act.
