The Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA has established a Special Investigation Task Group to conduct a thorough inquiry into the shooting incident involving a media representative that occurred on May 31, in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
The SITG, headed by PCOL Samuel S Delorino, the Provincial Director of Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, comprises seasoned investigators tasked with unraveling the circumstances surrounding the incident, as announced by PBGEN Doria.
According to police reports, the victim, identified as Cresenciano Aldovino Bunduquin, a 50-year-old resident of Barangay Canubing II, Calapan City, worked as a Radio Commentator for DWXR 101.7 Kalahi FM MUX Online Radio. He was shot in front of a Sari-sari store along C5 road in Brgy. Sta. Isabel, Calapan City.
Eyewitness accounts revealed that two individuals riding a white Honda XRM 125 motorcycle with license plate number DD 22153 pulled up near the store. One of the suspects approached the victim and fired the fatal shot.
Despite immediate medical attention, the victim was pronounced dead-on-arrival (DOA) upon arrival at the nearest hospital.
“We take this incident very seriously, and we are fully committed to ensuring that justice is served for Cresencio Bunduquin. We urge the public to come forward with any information that may help expedite the resolution of this case,” stated PBGEN Doria.
The top police official of MIMAROPA further appealed to anyone who possesses relevant information regarding the incident to cooperate with the authorities. He assured the public that updates on the investigation would be provided as soon as they become available.
