The Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office (ORMIN PPO) Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) ‘Bunduquin’ has made significant progress in identifying the suspects involved in the killing of Cresenciano Aldovino Bundoquin, a radio commentator for DWXR 101.7 Kalahi FM MUX Online Radio. Bundoquin was shot in front of his owned store along C5 Road in Barangay Sta. Isabel, Calapan City, around 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
Based on the investigation, it was revealed that the victim was standing in front of his Tats Sari-Sari store when the suspects, riding a white Honda XRM 125 motorcycle with license plate number DD 22153, arrived at the scene.
One of the suspects, the back rider, disembarked from the motorcycle and approached the victim, firing multiple shots that struck him in various parts of his body. The suspects quickly fled the area, but the victim’s son gave chase and accidentally collided with the suspects’ motorcycle.
As a result of the collision, one of the suspects, identified as Narciso Ignacio Guntan, sustained fatal head injuries, leading to his immediate demise. The other suspect managed to escape in an unknown direction.
“Through follow-up operations and the evidence collected at the crime scene, the SITG has already identified a person of interest,” stated PCOL Samuel S Delorino, Provincial Director of ORMIN PPO and SITG Commander.
“We assure the public that we will provide updates on the progress of the investigation. We are committed to swiftly bringing justice to the victim and his family,” added PCOL Delorino.
