Police Regional Office MIMAROPA Regional Director Police Brigadier General Sidney Sultan Hernia lauded the successful police law enforcement operation that resulted in the arrest of the region’s top 1 most wanted person in Paranaque City on Thursday, December 1, 2022.
The police report revealed that Rodel Dela Peña Ulan, 19, who hails from Sitio Bacoron, Barangay Apitong, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, was arrested by joint personnel of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit MIMAROPA and Naujan Municipal Police Station, with the support from the Coast Guard Station Oriental Mindoro in front of Grand West Side Hotel, Bay Boulevard, Bagong Nayong Pilipino, Parañaque City.
Ulan has pending several warrants of arrest issued by the Family Court, Branch 12 in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, for the following crimes: Grave Coercion about RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) with recommended bail of Php 36,000.00; Two (2) counts of Robbery with Violence Against or Intimidation of Persons (RPC Art. 294) in relation to RA 7610 with recommended bail of Php 100,00.00 each; Eleven (11) counts of Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610 with recommended bail of Php108,000.00 each; and Eleven (11) counts of Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009 (RA 9775) in relation to RA 10175 with recommended bail of Php 200,000.00 each.
The arrested accused is now under police custody for turnover to the issuing court as soon as possible.
The Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division data revealed that PRO MIMAROPA had already recorded 527 apprehensions of most wanted persons (MWP) since January this year, an increase of 45.98 percent compared to the 361 MWP arrested in the same period last year.
