The Police Regional Office in Mimaropa region is currently on heightened security alert following the order of PRO Mimaropa Director Police Brigadier General Sidney Hernia in connection for the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday, July 25.
Hernia said that he also directed the maximum deployment of all police units and to intensify anti-crime operations in the region.
PBGen Hernia said more PNP personnel will be deployed in the different areas as the need arises to undertake Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) operations.
The Mimaropa top cop likewise directed the lower units to work closely with the AFP counterparts, force multipliers, stakeholders, and the LGUs in ensuring peace and order during the SONA.
Meanwhile, PRO MIMAROPA had also established 92 help desks to ensure that minimum public health standards and peace and order are maintained in all areas of convergence in the entire region.
“I already directed all field commanders and unit leaders to ensure that the minimum health standards will be strictly followed while ensuring maintain peace and order in the entire region of MIMAROPA”, PBGen Hernia stressed in a press release.
