Despite the presence of a low pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said most areas in the country will experience fair and warm weather on Monday.
The LPA was last tracked 60 kilometers west of Romblon, Romblon.
“It has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone, but it will bring scattered rains over parts of Luzon,” said weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in the agency’s 5 a.m. weather bulletin.
No other weather disturbance was seen inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, he added.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced in Mimaropa due to the LPA.
“The rest of Luzon will have warm weather, with thunderstorms likely in the afternoon or evening,” Aurelio said.
Tuguegarao City’s temperature will reach up to 35°C; Metro Manila up to 34°C; Laoag and Legazpi up to 32°C; and Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa up to 31°C.
He said the Visayas and Mindanao will also have fair and warm weather, although rains caused by thunderstorms are also likely.
The temperature in Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, Zamboanga and Davao will reach up to 32°C.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the entire archipelago. (PNA)
