The provincial gov’t of Romblon on Wednesday has suspended classes and work in the government sector due to threats of tropical cyclone “Dante” in the province.
In a text message sent to local chief executives, Provincial Administrator Lizette Mortel, said that the suspension was advised by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) due to inclement weather conditions in the province.
The suspension is for government offices in the province including the Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, and National Gov’t Agencies.
“Those performing vital functions, delivery of basic services are required to report for work,” according to Mortel.
Work suspension in private companies shall come from owners.
Since early Wednesday, heavy rains are pouring in Tablas Island.
