Senior citizens in Romblon province already started receiving their COVID-19 vaccine, as the Department of Health and the Provincial Health Office continues their vaccination rollout.
According to Dr. Mathew Medrano, medical officer III of the DOH Mimaropa, there are now 536 senior citizens in the entire province who already get their Covid-19 shots.
The rollout for senior citizens started after vaccinating the A1 priority group.
The A1 priority group consists of medical front-liners while the A2 are the senior citizens followed by A3 composed of people with comorbidities.
Dr. Medrano also disclosed during PIA Mimaropa Virtual Presser on Friday, April 30, that about 64% of master-listed healthcare workers get vaccinated with the first dose of the Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines, or 3,722 of 5,787 eligible population.
As of April, 5,175Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in the province and 82% of these vaccines were consumed.
