The provincial government of Romblon reminds the public on Thursday that the 16th and 18th days of March are both Special non-working holidays.
Work in Government offices and schools in Romblon province is suspended on the said dates.
The observance of the special non-working holiday for March 16 is pursuant to Republic Act 9642 or the act declaring March 16 of every year as Romblon Foundation Day.

Meanwhile, March 18 based on Proclamation No. 430 s. 1989 signed by former President Corazon C. Aquino, is declared as Victory Day in the islands of Panay and Romblon, including the cities of Iloilo and Roxas.
This year, Romblon will celebrate its 120th year founding anniversary.
