The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has recently completed the installation and activation of a 24/7 public Wi-Fi connection at Don Modesto Formilleza Sr. Memorial Hospital as part of its FREE Wi-Fi for All program.
The FREE Wi-Fi for All initiative is a government project aimed at bridging the digital divide, ensuring that Filipinos have access to opportunities, education, and information through reliable internet connectivity.
In addition to benefiting patients and visitors, the free internet service is also accessible to nearby residents, enhancing communication, facilitating online learning, and supporting small businesses in the area.
In a press release, the hospital administration welcomed the project, recognizing it as a significant step toward the digitalization of healthcare services.
Meanwhile, DICT officials, led by Engineer Gaymar Gaytano II, have assured the public that the Wi-Fi connection will be continuously monitored to ensure consistent and high-quality service.
