The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) provided housing assistance to 85 residents of San Andres, Romblon, through its Integrated Disaster Shelter Assistance Program. This program supports families whose homes were damaged by natural disasters, such as Typhoon Carina, which impacted Romblon in late July.
Of the affected residents, 11 families received PHP 30,000 each to rebuild their fully destroyed homes, while 74 families with partially damaged homes received PHP 10,000 each.
DHSUD MIMAROPA Regional Director Peter Daniel Fraginal personally attended the distribution event, along with San Andres Mayor Arsenio Gadon, showing support for the ongoing recovery efforts in the community.
