The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Romblon, through its Negosyo Center and Small Business Corporation, recently conducted a training session for at least 50 members of the San Andres Local Council of Women on the production of effective dishwashing liquid.
According to a press release from DTI Romblon, the training aimed to equip the women’s group with new skills and knowledge to help them start their own livelihoods and generate additional sources of income.
The session provided hands-on experience in manufacturing dishwashing liquid, empowering participants with the ability to create a product they could market.
In addition to technical training, DTI also emphasized the importance of basic financial knowledge.
Jude Pavillar, a Trade and Industry Development Analyst from DTI Romblon, highlighted the critical role of financial planning in achieving both personal and business stability. Pavillar also provided guidance on setting up and managing an online store, offering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) a platform to expand their reach and strengthen their businesses.
The training included an overview of various programs offered by DTI’s Small Business Corporation, focusing on support available to startup businesses. This included information on loans, documentary requirements, and the application process.
DTI Romblon stated that they plan to extend similar training and seminars to other towns in the province that have Negosyo Centers, aiming to support various sectors with valuable skills and knowledge.
