A new three-storey school building with 15 classrooms will soon rise at Looc National High School following a formal groundbreaking ceremony held on Friday. The building will be constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Romblon Schools Division Superintendent Roger Capa, along with other DepEd officials, joined top provincial officials like Congressman Eleandro Madrona and Governor Jose Riano at the event.
Madrona noted that this project is just the first of three buildings planned for the school, aiming to provide 47 new classrooms for students in Looc.
The new structure will replace a previous building destroyed by fire several years ago.
Looc NHS Principal, Erwin Marquez, expressed his gratitude for the continuous support from stakeholders in improving school facilities.
According to DepEd Romblon, the expansion, supported by the local government and DepEd, aims to create better learning environments and improve educational outcomes in the province.
