The government’s 1,075 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) will benefit from the three farm-to-market road projects amounting to P44 million that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. turned over on September 19 in Coron, Palawan.
The turnover ceremony coincides with the distribution of land titles of President Marcos to ARBs of Busuanga and Coron towns in Palawan.
The first farm-to-market road project is the San Nicolas to Sitio Caniogan Farm-to-Market Road located in Coron with 105 ARBs benefiting the project.
The second is the Sitio Nalbot to Arado Farm-to-Market Road in Taytay town to benefit 496 ARBs. They are members of the Estrella Del Norte Multi-Purpose Cooperative and an Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization (ARBO).
The third project is the Busuang to Caruray Farm-to-Market Road in Brgy. Caramay in Roxas that will benefit 474 ARBs who are members of Caramay Farmers and ARBs Association, Inc.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said the roads will help bring the ARBs closer to consumers and improve their livelihood. It will also ease the daily struggles of farmers in these areas.
The President added that new roads will enable farmers to transport their products more efficiently without the constant worry of potential spoilage during travels.
(OCJ/PIA MIMAROPA-Palawan)
