The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has recently bolstered agricultural productivity in the province of Romblon by providing farm machinery equipment to four Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations or ARBOs.
Under the initiative, the Longon-Camili Agrarian Reform Cooperative received a farm tractor with a rotary tiller, while the Tuguis Farmers and Fisherfolks Association, Sikap-Kabuhayan Agrarian Reform Cooperative, and Maghali Auto-Savings Group were each given a hand tractor with trailer.
These ARBOs formalized their partnership with DAR through a memorandum of agreement, signifying their commitment to advancing agricultural development in the region.
In their press release, PARPO-II Camilo Claro M. Pacquing emphasized DAR’s dedication to delivering high-quality and timely agrarian services to farmers, Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), and ARBOs. These efforts aim to enhance their capabilities in nation-building through sustainable farming practices and agri-entrepreneurship.
The distribution of farm equipment is part of the Major Crop-based Block Farming Productivity Enhancement Project spearheaded by the Department of Agrarian Reform.
