The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has commended the local government unit (LGU) of Magdiwang for its support to graduates of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in their town.
Recently, LGU Magdiwang disbursed educational assistance to the graduates of the 4Ps program.
Allocating a total of P115,000, the local government aimed to assist 23 former 4Ps families whose children are still pursuing education in senior high school and college.
Geneva Luces Fabila Zacarias, the Provincial Link Social Welfare Officer III, emphasized that Magdiwang LGU is among the local government units in the province actively providing support to 4Ps beneficiaries who have successfully graduated from the program.
DSWD urges other LGUs to follow Magdiwang’s initiative, emphasizing the importance of aftercare services for household graduates to prevent them from slipping back into poverty.
LGU Magdiwang has pledged its commitment to the DSWD, assuring the continuation of interventions for program graduates, and exemplifying its dedication to the welfare of its constituents.
