With the conferment of the 2022 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit Awards and Incentives, and in line with the implementation of the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program, the Municipality of San Fernando, Romblon spearheaded the 2023 San Fernando ADAC Advocacy Day Celebration on September 21, 2023, Thursday.
Hon. Nanette B. Tansingco, M.D., MADAC Chairperson, led the conduct of the whole day activity which kicked off through a peaceful parade participated by the members of the component Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Committees (BADACs).
An opening program was facilitated at the Municipal Public Auditorium attended by the MADAC and BADAC Members, Sangguniang Bayan Members, DILG, LGU, Department Heads, Local PNP and BFP, Academe, CSOs, and other guests.
Among the activities conducted were: parade around the town, opening program, inter-barangay painting competition, symposium for the MADAC, BADAC, KKDAT Members and students, Inter-School Short Film Making Competition, and the Sibuyan-wide Rap Singing Contest. The event was managed by the ever-active ADAC Focal Person, NUP Arnold S. Rada, LPT.
The Municipality of San Fernando, Romblon hopes to sustain the previous years’ victory in the National ADAC Performance Audit through one-time, big-time advocacy campaign.
