Thiry eight (38) couples exchanged vows during a mass wedding in Odiongan, Romblon sponsored by the local government unit.
Odiongan Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic served as their solemnizing officer of the pairs.
Vice Mayor Diven Dimaala and the Sangguniang Bayan members also attended the gathering together with representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority, and the Philippine Independent Church.
During her message, Mayor Fabic asked the newlywed to fulfill the promises that they made to their partner during the ceremony.
“Couples, you know that life is hard and there are so many problems. But when you have a partner in life and a companion, everything becomes easier. This is my only advice to you, never ignore your partner because they chose to be with you forever,” the mayor added during her message.
Mass wedding is a regular event in the town every year to help strengthen couples’ relationship in a matrimonial bond.
