President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. re-appointed Romblon Governor Jose Riano as the chairperson of Regional Development Council MIMAROPA.
Riano was recently re-elected in May 2022 elections under the PDP-Laban.
Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Arvin Anthony F. Madla has been appointed as the co-chairperson.

Gov. Riano and Fr. Madla will serve as officials of the RDC MIMAROPA, the highest policy-making body in the region, for the term 2022-2025.
Pursuant to Executive Order 325, s. 1996, the RDC reorganizes every three years coinciding with the term of local elective officials.
The RDC chairperson and co-chairperson are appointed by the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
