Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the stewardship of Police Brigadier General Sidney Sultan Hernia, have arrested 96 persons wanted by the law for various offenses during massive one-day anti-crime operations launched by the five different Police Provincial Offices and one City Police Office regionwide on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
Police Colonel Francis Gil G Tria, Deputy Regional Director for Operations, revealed that the greatest number of arrests came from Palawan PPO with 42; followed by Oriental Mindoro PPO, 26; Marinduque PPO, 10; Occidental Mindoro PPO, 9; Romblon PPO, 6; and Puerto Princesa CPO, 3.
“Out of the 86 arrested, 10 are included in the Top Ten Most Wanted Persons (TTMWP), 7 of which were arrested in Palawan and 3 in Oriental Mindoro.” PCol Tria added.
Records from the PRO MIMAROPA Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division revealed the 10 TTMWP as: (1) Ronnie Perez Oroso, Top 2 Regional Level for the crime of twenty counts of Rape and Rape by Sexual Assault; (2) Lauro Mago Berenia, Top 8 Regional Level for six counts of Qualified Rape and Rape by Sexual Assault in Relation to RA 7610; (3) Renante Abrasada, Top 1 Provincial Level (Palawan) for the crime of Rape; Ninoy Maning Liwas, Top 3 Provincial Level (Palawan) for two counts of Rape; (5) Christian Adier Casablanca, 33, Top 4 Provincial Level(Palawan) for the crime of Rape; (6) Alex Mosnit Lunar, Top 7 City Level (Puerto Princesa City); (7) Ruben Ramirez Macahilig Jr, Top 1 Municipal Level (Taytay, Palawan) for Rape by Sexual Assault; (8) Raymond Guttierez Marmo, Top 1 Municipal Level (Naujan, Oriental Mindoro) for two counts of Rape; (9) Bryan Bascia Dadosano, Top 3 Municipal Level (Culion, Palawan); and (10) Rocky Chavez Sebido, Top 10 Municipal Level (Narra, Palawan) for Rape.
Majority of the arrested accused have pending Warrant of Arrest (WOA) for the crime of Rape, violation of R.A. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act), violation of R.A. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004), Presidential Decree 1602 on illegal gambling, Presidential Decree 449 or the Cockfighting Law of 1974, Murder, Frustrated Murder, Theft, Robbery, among others.
The arrested accused are all under police custody and will be turned over to the issuing court as soon as possible.
The data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division disclosed that PRO MIMAROPA had already recorded 1,821 apprehensions of wanted persons (MWP) since January this year; an 11.81% increase from the 1,606 arrests in the same period last year.
PBGen Hernia lauded all the operating units for their constant drive against criminality that resulted in the arrest of the said wanted persons.
“These accomplishments only fuel our drive to improving crime solution efficiency in support to the “Kaayusan” program under the peace and security framework of our Chief, PNP Police General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr”, PBGen Hernia said.
