Police Regional Office MIMAROPA have arrested the region’s top 5 most wanted person in a police operation in Barangay Tunguan, Leon, Iloilo on Sunday morning, September 11.
Romblon Police Provincial Office Director, Police Colonel Jonathan P Paguio, disclosed that Baltazar Ganoria Malupa, 51, who hails from Barangay Agpanabat, Romblon, Romblon, was arrested in a joint law enforcement operation led by Romblon MPS together with the elements of Leon MPS and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, both under Iloilo PPO; and 601st Maneuver Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.
Malupa, has a pending warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 19-FC in Romblon, Romblon for six counts of Rape with no bail recommended.
The arrested accused is now under police custody and will be turned over to the issuing court as soon as possible.
Since January this year, PRO MIMAROPA has already arrested a total of 390 most wanted persons (MWP); a 36.84 percent increase from the 285 MWP arrests in the same period last year as based on the data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division.
