Ferrol mayor Jovencio Mayor on Thursday declares the entire municipality under lockdown to prevent transmission and control the spread of Covid-19.
In an executive order released Thursday, Mayor noted that the municipality has inadequate and limited medical health facilities including health personnel and they will have a problem when cases of Covid-19 increase.
The lockdown will take effect for the period of fifteen days starting April 15 to April 30.
During the lockdown, the movement of all its residents will be limited to accessing essential goods and services, and for work in permitted offices.
Gatherings outside residences are also not allowed including drinking sessions.
The municipality also announced that all of its barangays will stop issuing travel passes except for emergency cases.
Meanwhile, Authorized persons outside residence (APOR) from other municipalities are required to provide negative results of any RT-PCR, antigen, or rapid test.
Deliveries will be limited to medicines and construction materials for government projects. Other deliveries such as fish, poultry, livestock, agricultural products will be made on border-to-border transactions.
Curfew will also be implemented from 8 PM to 4 AM the next day.
