The Local Government Unit of Corcuera persistently seeks assistance from the national agencies to aid the needs of its constituents in facing the new normal economy.
The Department of Labor and Employment granted the Municipality of Corcuera a total salary amounting to P982, 400.00 for the employment of 307 TUPAD workers. The Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program was implemented in the municipality starting July 2020 up to present.
Corcuera also availed Three (3) beneficiaries under the Government Internship Program (GIP). The interns will render Three (3) months service at the Public Employment Service Office and will receive a stipend amounting to P320.00 per day.
And also, out of three applicants from the Municipalities of Looc (with 2) and Corcuera (with 1) who took the qualifying examination for Workers Organization Development Program (WODP) Scholar, Corcuera’s applicant topped the examination and got qualified. The WODP scholar is a first year college student at the Romblon State University taking Up Bachelor of Secondary Education. She will be receiving a monthly stipend amounting to P3, 500.00 for 8 semesters.
Government Internship Program (GIP) is a component of KABATAAN 2000 under Executive Order (EO) no. 139 s. 1993, and DOLE Administrative Order No. 260-15, which aims to provide opportunities and engage young workers to serve general public in government agencies/entities projects and programs at the national and local level.
The scholarship grant under the Workers Organization Development Program (WODP) is extended to qualified dependent child of officers and members of legitimate workers organizations under the Isabelo delos Reyes Scholarship Grant.
