Pioneering set of officers of Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) – Romblon was elected and took their oath on Thursday, January 09, 2020 at the headquarters of Romblon Police Provincial Office in Romblon, Romblon.
Mike John Rubio was elected as the President, while Aldendy Fajilan is elected as his Vice President. Angelic Condes was elected as Secretary, Kristian Jacob Orbe as Treasurer, Shiela Mae Cezar as Auditor, and Arlyn Joy Bolon and John Llyod Galido was both elected as Public Information Officers.
Governor Jose Riano officiated their oath taking witnessed by Romblon rep. Eleandro Madrona, Romblon Police Provincial Office director Police Col. Arvin Molina, Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, local officials of Romblon and Sangguniang Kabataan KKDAT Municipal and Provincial Officers.
KKDAT-Romblon president Mike John Rubio during his speech said that the pioneering officers are willing to take their time and effort to support the programs of the Philippine National Police which aims to educate the youth against the ill-effects of illegal drugs and to prevent them from joining any terrorist organization.
It is envisioned to inflame the spirit of volunteerism among youth and student sectors to become proactive partners of the government in the nationwide campaign to eradicate terrorism and illegal drugs especially on matters related to Recovery and Wellness Program (RWP) of the Philippine National Police.
